Women Seeding Peace is a video web series created by PASO Colombia, a program of One Earth Future. The series presents stories of transformation, sharing the lives of women who have left illicit crops behind to sow a new future of peace in their communities. These women have participated in PASO Colombia’s Contingency Plan to Support Ex-coca Grower Families, which has lended support in 10 municipalities, assisting 1,967 families registered in the Colombian government’s National Comprehensive Program for the Substitution of Illicit Crops (PNIS), developed as part of the implementation of the Peace Agreement.
The program “Land of Dreams” from RCN Radio, interviewed Pontus Ohrstedt, Head of the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund for Sustaining Peace in Colombia, and Juan Fernando Lucio, National Director of PASO Colombia.
The national newspaper El Tiempo published an article on "Women Seeding Peace", a series that brings together the stories of peasant women who voluntarily substituted crops for illicit use.
