Forty-five people, including small farmers and ex-combatants from Tuluá, Cali, Miranda, Dagua, Sevilla, and Jamundí participated in a workshop entitled Markets and Commercialization - “Producer and Consumer: Powers to be Discovered”. The workshop was part of a strategy to connect the producers supported by the Rural Alternative (ERAs) to regional markets in the departments of Valle del Cauca and Cauca.
Participants received training to strengthen their sales and marketing skills for the products that they are producing. The participants also visited the facilities of the Central Farmer Market of Valle del Cauca S.A (CAVASA). They attended conferences and talked with traders about the functioning of markets, mutual support circles of consumption, and best practices for product commercialization.
