"Today we are in the process of returning to the peasant road" José, a participant of the Alternative Rural School of Miranda.

"In Miranda, north of Cauca, members of the Pro-Constitution Association of the Peasant Reserve Zone (ASPROZONAC) gave 10 hectares - 10 years ago, on the La Elvira estate - to ex-combatants in the process of reintegration who were part of the Sixth Front and the Gabriel Galvis mobile column of the FARC, to develop their productive projects. Currently, they plant tilapia and raise pigs and livestock in association with reincorporated people grouped in the Center for the Promotion of Territorial Development (CEPRODET) corporation.

In these five years after the signing of the Peace Agreement, the organization Paso Colombia - Sustainable Peace for Colombia, a subsidiary of One Earth Future, has accompanied this process with the Alternative Rural School (ERA) initiative, which seeks the sustainable development of the territories hand in hand with the community. It was the first cooperating organization to contribute to the construction of a biofactory and common spaces for the assemblies; they brought technicians to teach the community how to make fertilizers and grow; they delivered a pepper planting project, and they helped organize and distribute production systems. This, without expecting any compensation in return."
