March 5, 2018 – Cali, Colombia - PASO Colombia, in alliance with the public Agrarian Bank, organized a financing workshop focused on ex-combatant’s agricultural projects. The participants where delegates of 8 reincorporation zones of the departments of Cauca, Antioquia, Tolima, and Nariño, which represent around one third of the 12 thousand ex-combatants in process of reincorporation.
In the workshop ex-combatants discussed with the bank the different possibilities and challenges that they have accessing credit. They shared, analyzed and and discussed projects for the production of avocados, coffee, livestock, fish, and for the implementation of self-sufficient farms.
This is the first event of its kind in the country aiming to overcome the difficulties that Colombia is having in implementing sustainable economic projects for FARCX’s ex-combatants.
Through this new alliance ex-combatants will receive financial education and support in the financial aspects of the projects they are formulating.
