Taller Cauca

October 20 – Santander de Quilichao, Colombia – As part of the Café Paz project PASO Colombia is building business relationships between international coffee traders and communities of Colombian coffee growers who have expressed their commitment to support the reincorporation of ex-combatants in coffee production projects.

With the purpose of supporting with audiovisual stories this search for international markets, PASO held a storytelling workshop with 27 representatives of 15 coffee grower associations. They collectively developed the script for the piece that is going to recount how their love and dedication to the production of premium coffees has allowed them to withstand during decades the violence from different participants of the armed conflict. This piece will also tell how they are willing to work jointly with ex-combatants in the construction of a prosperous and peaceful future for the region.
